The emotion of Sita Ramam can't be typed in words, but let me try. It's an unparalleled love story filled with great music and lyrics, shot vibrantly in beautiful locations with actors pouring their soul into the characters. It is a story illustrating how the destiny can break hearts and in some cases, lives. It is a story built upon promise, unwavering love and thus sacrifice. Didn't think tears would roll in my eyes, at least the second time, but they did!

The story telling kept me on hook till the end. The attention that went into making the movie a retro deserves a ton of appreciation. The way various details are linked is very thoughtful. I have found some such references, here they are:

1. When: Ram says the last lines of his last letter to Sita from the bathtub
   What: Ram compares bathtub to grave before. He talking from bathtub is representing he talking from grave
2. When: Ram saying that 'satisahadahanam is banned long ago'
   What: It's because Ram compares bathtub to a grave. And Sita hops into the bathtub with him
3. When: Lieutenant Ram receiving letters
   What: The number of letters decrease with time. Starts with a bag, then to a bunch, then to the only one from Sita
4. When: The palace is turned into a women's college in 1985
   What: Sita started an education program back in 1965. She meets the first passout batch from girls education program and takes a picture with them
5. When: Ram saying that Sita is beautiful without tilak just like Savitri from Missamma
   What: Sita cries from one eye just like Savitri in Mayabazaar, in multiple occasions. Once in the when she was told by her friend to tell Ram the truth. And next in the movie screening she and Ram attends in the song 'Oh Sita Hey Rama'. And at the end when Sita reads Ram's last letter. Ram cries from one eye too when he is talking to Sita while being in a bathtub
6. When: Ram saying to Vikas that he chooses any punishment instead of hurting innocent people, after he purposefully misses to shoot people in his introduction scene
   What: Ram does the same at the end, choosing to save Waheeda knowing that it would lead to his death
7. When: Afreen delivering the Ram's message to Sita
   What: Afreen's character references to Hanuman from Ramayana
8. When: Sita leaving everything and moves to Kashmir for Ram
   What: Reference to the Ramayana where Sita goes to forest with Ram
9. When: Ansari says to Abu Tariq that the kids he is sending will start the fire
   What: The fire is really set in Agartha which happened through those kids
10. When: Newspapers printing that kids are shot are in various languages
    What: Different languages show that the news is spread across the country
11. When: When Vikas (Ram's friend from Ananthapur) narrates that the people of Agartha followed him leaving the Ram (Lord Ram's idol) behind, while he runs away with a kid
    What: They also left the Ram (Lieutenant Ram) in Agartha
12. When: Sita travelling in 1st class when she met Ram in train
    What: Because Sita is a princess
13. When: Sita appearing from dark when she met Ram (in train) while Ram saying 'yuddapu velugulo Sita swayamvaram'
    What: Ram sees Sita for the first time when the light fills up just after the train travelling through tunnel
14. When: Ram erases the tilak from Sita's forehead in Agartha
    What: Someone places the tilak on Sita when she is visiting the chanting of Ram in streets of Agartha
15. When: Ram saying that he will take care of Sita as a queen during his first marriage proposal
    What: Sita is a princess. And when she left everything behind for Ram, she is now a queen
16. When: Sita is suggested to marry the prince from Oman to save their wealth
    What: Sita is darkened by the bright light around her depicting the dire situation she is kept in
17. When: Sita saying 'Ram, can I call you later?' and hanging up the call
    What: Ram is calling from an Indian Post Office and he is specifically there for the call since he and his team leaves just after the call
18. When: When Afreen is taken into custody
    What: Her passport, which is shown when it is being verified, is from her home country
19. When: One of the Ram's badges is torn in the bathtub
    What: Ram doesn't have that badge when he is leaving the house in next scene
20. When: Ansari voice is heard (as he talks on radio) when Ram and his team are about to kill him
    What: The fire is shown just when his voice is heard depicting the hatred he is trying to ignite
21. When: The fire that Abu Tariq notices before he rushes to Ansari's camp
    What: The fire is set when one of the Ansari's men hits a tree with the lamp

    Why: He has one kid when he is at dinner with Ram and Sita. And his wife is pregnant when she comes to complain about her husbands disapperance to the Major Selvan

    Why: He gets it from the news paper Abu Tariq gives him to show that his country declared him a deserter
24. What: The exchange of Colonel Abbas for one among Ram or Vishnu
    Why: Existence of the Colonel is revealed back when Brigadier Y. K. Joshi briefs about the mission to kill Ansari
25. When: The person from Indian embassy is being joked about occupying Kashmir
    What: It's not a joke since they plan to get military base coordinates from Ram or Vishnu

    Why: Ram says the name Whaeeda to Vishnu just before running into fire to save her
27. When: Ram says he is not a traitor in his last letter. He is informed by Abu Tariq that he is being declared as a deserter (different from traitor)
    What: A considerable amount of time elasped between the two incidents between which Ram is falsely declared a traitor for revealing military base coordinates
28. When: Vishnu is threatened to hurt his family if he doesn't reveal the military base coordinates, but Ram is not
    What: Ram is not married yet and hence he has no one in books
29. When: Ram entering prison cell with a shadow of hanging rope on the wall
    What: Ram enters the cell with his head going into the opening of hanging rope depicting his death

    Why: Ram attaches it with steamed rice just before handing it over to Whaeeda

Story time! Alot happened when I planned to watch the movie for the second time. The cab driver dropped me way before I reached my house, assuming a wrong drop off location. Talked with him to get me home for an extra charge. Booked an auto from my home to the theatre for which I placed the pickup on the wrong street - I placed the pick up point using my location when I was in my room, which is closer to that wrong opposite street. Ran around the block to catch that auto. Online payment didn't work when I reached the theatre. I was late by around 25 minutes. But guess what, the movie screening was delayed by 15 minutes and I was just in time.
